Media Literacy

Media offers a vast array of entertainment and content that can enhance our daily lives. Yet, it also wields the power to shape our beliefs and actions, sometimes beyond our control.

With the rapid evolution of social platforms, this influence extends across all age groups, from children to the elderly, often eluding the guidance of parents, teachers, and caregivers. This growing trend underscores the pressing need to educate our youth, equipping them with a systematic understanding of the mechanics of media influence.

Our goal is to empower them to exercise objectivity when engaging with media, ideally before they reach adulthood. At CommsCred, we’re dedicated to empowering the youth with essential media literacy skills.

Kota Murakami

Founder

He founded CommsCred to formalize his dedication to driving positive transformation within individuals and organizations.

Additionally, he serves as the Country Manager for the Japanese operations of a global agency specializing in Web 3.0 and social media.

Previously, he held the position of Managing Director, Japan, at a digital media agency within WPP, one of the world’s leading agency networks. He played a pivotal role in expanding the agency from 14 to over 100 team members.

Furthermore, he is a certified professional coach (ACC) accredited by the International Coaching Federation and has served as the internal coach for the agency’s regional leadership training program.

He has also been a featured speaker at prominent industry events, including AdTech Tokyo.
